The Iraqi War Media Cell reported that the meeting was a planning to carry out multiple attacks during the coming month of Ramadan.
“ISIS leaders were planning terrorist attacks against citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, the assassination of some judges and targeting the district of Haditha, Al Rutba, and the highway,” it said.
“The meeting was targeted by an accurate and effective air strike by Iraqi air force planes. The operation led to the death of 13 ISIS militants and the injury of several others.”
The cell added that eight other ISIS targets were completely destroyed, including a warehouses of weapons and missiles and a laboratory for bombs.
“Many militants were killed and weapons, ammunition and explosive materials were destroyed by the Iraqi forces,” it reported.
